Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, explains simple techniques that anyone can master. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. She pursued her passion for food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most enjoyable time of my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating, chef Burrell resided in Italy for a whole year attending classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) in Tuscany. While in Italy she gained an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food and culture. It will have a significant impact on the way she prepares her food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of kids facing difficulties. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She travels frequently around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her career and love of cooking. Anne declared that she felt fortunate to be able to communicate her love of cooking to the people around her.
